Business skills for STEM students
Business classes will teach you how to develop new business ideas based on your specialist knowledge. As part of a team you will work towards a Professional Award from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). This will look very good on your CV when applying for a job!
Communication classes
Language classes will focus on communication skills. You will be taught by English language teachers to develop your team working and presentation skills. You will also be given guidance on preparation of your CV.
Credits
The United in Manchester Summer School is not assessed but completion of the qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing alongside the team project is worth the equivalent of 10 credits from the University of Manchester.
If requested your school will be advised of the Manchester credit value of the assessment and work you have completed.
